Dear Resident,
I have arranged a Community Meeting on Monday, June 24 at 7:00 pm at Burnhamthorpe Community Centre (Fleetwood Village Room) – 1500 Gulleden Drive. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss a proposed development located at 1075 Canadian Place by Land and Building Experts. The land is currently zoned as D- Development. The applicant is proposing to change it to E2- Employment Zone to permit a 2-storey Recreational Establishment Building with an indoor Sports and Entertainment field.

The applicant is proposing to temporarily change the zoning to permit a transportation facility for 135 commercial motor vehicles for a period of three years.

This meeting will be held in person and online. Advance registration is required to make a verbal submission at the meeting virtually. The City held a Public Meeting on May 30, 2022. At the upcoming meeting, Planning and Building staff will present a report addressing issues raised and will provide a recommendation on the proposal. Planning and Development Committee will make a decision about this project at this meeting.
