Council recently imposed a moratorium on naming and re-naming any City assets until a revised naming policy is approved. Here are the minutes to the GC meeting on January 12, 2022. Please refer to item #11.3. The Resolution is also attached. Park namings/ renamings are on hold until the moratorium is lifted and as such we will bring forward a naming report for Trail 11 after the moratorium.

As part of the naming of Trail 11 I would like to hear from you!
I have spoken with staff and the process to get the trail named. First, as the Ward Councillor I would like you to help me choose one of the names below that staff have recommended to bring forward in the corporate report for General Committee. Staff undertook naming research following the City’s naming Policy and standard practices and suggests one of the following potential names. Please pick which one you would like to see go forward to the corporate report at the end of the survey period.
