Dear Ward 3 residents,
I am pleased to share that following my direction, the direction of Mayor Parrish and my Council colleagues, City staff came to Council on September 25, 2024 with a more fulsome and action based Corporate Report: 10.2. entitled “Council Update – July and August 2024 Extreme Rainfall Events”. This report which was passed unanimously provides tangible action-oriented approaches to accelerating planned and new undertakings in respect of flood mitigation initiatives, inspection enhancements and increased maintenance and operation activities.
As promised, through collaboration with staff and advocacy for Ward 3. I can confirm the Ward 3 community flooding meeting will now be held on October 17, 2024 at 6:30 pm at the Burnhamthorpe Community Centre in the Applewood Room. I hope to see you all there.
