Please be advised that lifecycle replacement of the playgrounds at:
• Kennedy Park will commence the week of May 13th
• Bethesda Common will commence the week of May 23rd
Construction will take approximately eight weeks to complete, weather permitting. The playground will be closed to accommodate construction activities and will re-open by Friday, July 2nd & July 19th, respectively.
The work includes:
• Replacement of playground equipment
• Engineered wood mulch safety surfacing
• Paved trail connections
• Accessible playground ramp
• Seating
• Shelter (Bethesda Common only)
Alternate playground locations include:
Kennedy Park
• Applewood Hills Park – located at 1204 Bloor St. (350m walking distance)
• Jaycee Park – located at 1520 Gulleden Dr. (1 km walking distance)
Bethesda Common
• Burnhamdale Park – located at 3316 Cardross Rd. (450m walking distance)
• Forest Glen Park – located at 3545 Fieldgate Dr. (600m walking distance)
Service disruption signs will be erected when the construction fencing is erected.
