Please be advised that the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH) have concluded their damage assessment for the July and August storms. Currently, the results of these assessments have been submitted to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, who will make a decision as to whether the Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians (DRAO) program will be activated for areas within Mississauga, as well as other neighbouring municipalities.
At this time, no decision has been made by the Minister and the City has not received a timeline on when a decision might be made. City staff continue to be in consistent communication with the MMAH and will provide an update as soon as more information becomes available.
