It’s been a hot summer, and as we all look for ways to cool off, staying safe around the water is top priority. 🏊‍♂️☀️

With National Drowning Prevention Week here (July 20–26), it’s a vital reminder to stay vigilant whether you’re at a local pool, splash pad, or lake. Water safety has always been deeply important to me, and as a city, we want to make sure everyone enjoys the summer fun safely!

Be Water Wise:

  • Always supervise children closely around water.
  • Swim with a buddy and know your limits.
  • Wear appropriate floatation devices/life jackets when boating or in open water.
  • Learn basic swimming and water survival skills.

Let’s keep each other safe while beating the heat!
